These terms govern the use of our moving and logistics services. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts for moving services, transports, and related services between Roderick Removals GmbH (hereinafter "Contractor") and the customer (hereinafter "Client"). Deviating terms of the Client shall not be recognized unless the Contractor expressly agrees to them in writing.
The Contractor prepares an individual offer based on the Client's information. The contract is concluded upon written acceptance of the offer by the Client. Verbal collateral agreements require written confirmation. The Client is obliged to provide all information relevant to the execution of the move completely and truthfully.
The Contractor provides the services specified in the offer, in particular packing, dismantling, transport, assembly, and, if applicable, storage of moving goods. Changes to the scope of services require written form. Services not included in the offer will be charged separately. The Contractor is entitled to use subcontractors.
The Client ensures free access to the premises and ensures that all items to be transported are accessible. They must point out special sources of danger (e.g., narrow stairs, fragile items) in good time. The Client provides sufficient parking space for the transport vehicle in the immediate vicinity of the loading and unloading point.
The Contractor is liable for damage to the moving goods only if caused by gross negligence or intent. Liability is limited in amount to the current value of the damaged item, but to a maximum of 5,000 euros per claim. Further liability, in particular for consequential damages, is excluded. The Client is required to report damages in writing immediately upon acceptance.
The remuneration is derived from the written offer. Unless otherwise agreed, the invoice amount is due for payment within 14 days of invoicing without deduction. In case of default, the Contractor is entitled to demand default interest at a rate of 5 percentage points above the base interest rate. Cash payment on site is not possible; payment is made exclusively by invoice.
